DENVER -- Bank One customers will "Say Hello to Chase" beginning next week when Bank One signs at its 73 Colorado branches and other offices statewide are changed to Chase, the retail and commercial banking brand of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
A formal unveiling of the Chase logo will be held Monday, June 13, at the following locations:
Boulder - 1301 Canyon Boulevard
Colorado Springs - 30 E. Pikes Peak Avenue
Downtown Denver - 1125 17th Street
Greeley Commons - 4719 W. 29th Street
Loveland Downtown - 200 E. 7th Street
"We're saying hello to a well-recognized name in financial services that builds on more than 125 years of helping Colorado customers reach their financial goals," said Wayne Hutchens, Colorado market president. "We are proud of our Bank One legacy and especially proud of our move to a brand steeped in tradition in our country's banking history. Our combined company can provide even more products and services to our customers."
More than 1,200 signs in Colorado will change to Chase as part of the rebranding effort. The change is occurring as a result of last year's merger of the parent companies, Bank One and JPMorgan Chase.
Over the weekend, the company's 73 Colorado branches will undergo a complete transformation to Chase, according to Steve Shaffer, retail market manager in Colorado. In addition to the sign change, merchandise, collateral, marketing materials and apparel - even deposit slips - will change to Chase. Customers can continue using their checks until they run out.
"That sets the table for NEW CHASE DAY in June 13, and Bank One bankers will unveil the new Chase signs and apparel beginning that day," said Shaffer.
Under its "Say Hello to Chase" theme, the first sign to debut was at Coors Field for the May 30 Colorado Rockies game. Fireworks and fan premiums featured the new logo. A sweepstakes for a $50,000 cash prize is included in the marketing plans surrounding the rebranding effort.
In Colorado, the combined company has about 1,300 employees including nearly 300 at a national Chase Home Finance operation at the Denver Tech Center. The company's Private Client Services group operates under the JPMorgan brand. The JPMorgan Private Bank has its regional headquarters in downtown Denver.
"Combining the two companies means we have more to offer our customers and the community," Hutchens said. "We will only get stronger as a local corporate citizen given the track record and momentum of both organizations."
By becoming Chase, the company offers customers improved services, including:
--Expanded mortgage products from Chase Home Finance, one of the nation's leading mortgage companies
--Free access to more than 6,500 ATMs nationwide (101 in Colorado)
--Eventual access to more than 2,500 branches across the country (73 in Colorado)
--A broader array of products for businesses of all sizes
--Larger and quicker loans through syndication for commercial customers
--Greater international presence for large corporate customers
--More sophisticated investment-planning products at all levels, including JPMorgan mutual funds and Chase Edge available at no cost to consumers
--Affiliation for high net worth customers with JPMorgan Private Client Services and JPMorgan Private Bank
