China Merchant Bank has entered into an agreement with eBRIDGE, the Internet subsidiary of Bridge Information Systems for use of its Internet tools to build and define an informative online financial site.
The Banks website, www.cmbchina.com, will integrate updated global financial market data, utilizing cutting edge Internet functions including advanced charting with 25-year historical data, real time quotes, global and regional news, watch-lists, look-ups, search and rankings.
China Merchants Bank is regarded as one of the most technically advanced major banks in China. It has revolutionized the country's consumer banking by being the first to implement Automated Teller Machines(ATM), Point of Sale System (POS) and Internet Banking.
Currently, the bank has a client base of 16 million customers with over a million of them already enjoying its online banking services. To date, the bank has recorded 350,000 registered users using its e- payment services.
